Mr. Daniel Steneker is a proud Canadian that works globally. 

He is a seasoned technology business professional with extraordinary business skills developed over a lifetime of work in the technology and business sectors.  He has advised and facilitated the creation and growth of technology and education companies since his early 20s. His extraordinary visionary skills allow him to identify and motivate other high achievers and his long term business experience and expertise has proven him to be an excellent consultant and advisor in facilitating the rapid growth of companies involved in the technology sector. 

With over 40 years experience in the technology industry he has planned and actively managed dozens of product life cycles. His technology and expertise have helped lead the growth of numerous companies in the incubation and early stages.  He has defined and created technology with teams of over 100 people, participating in idea conception, prototype and working product development, marketing and sales. He is intimately familiar with both large scale enterprise products, and complex iOS/Android applications. 

He has extensive experience on five continents. His work has taken him to over 60 countries. His work has taken him to all US states, all Canadian provinces, throughout Europe and to over 250 major cities. He is culturally and technologically connected globally.

He is most accomplished in roles where he can participate in all aspects of product life cycle management.

Results-driven professional with over 40 years experience in project planning and tracking, resource management, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and contract negotiations.

Extensive experience managing, motivating, and influencing cross-functional teams and partners across the globe to adopt the right priorities and meet high performance standards.

High-level strategic thinking and proven ability to define the right product, market, and road-map.

Experienced in almost all segments of the business process including legal matters and contract law, product development, hiring and motivating executives and team members, design of technology products, implementation of sales and marketing processes and public relations.

Fundamental understanding of workplace skills. He led the creation of a project to define 80 job skill certification tracks and 1,200 standardized job profiles with the specific skills and knowledge needed for each profile. The work involved more than 250 technologists and subject matter experts. 

Has worked with Presidents of major national Universities, corporate executives of Fortune 500 companies, private business owners and technology entrepreneurs.

Education and Significant Achievements:

 

Bachelor Degree with First Class Honours in Computer Science from University of British Columbia. At an early age he was #1 in a class of 3,000 students.

Became one of Canada’s top value added dealers in his early 20s. As an IBM VAD he built and deployed business solutions nationwide in Canada at an early age.

Earned a prestigious award by Business in Vancouver magazine – only awarded to exceptional business people under the age of 40. Mr. Steneker received the award for building a global maritime telecommunications company at the age of only 35. 

Co-founded the Disability Training Institute in collaboration with the head of the American Association of People with Disabilities (his co-founder was a senior executive and lawyer who was an extraordinary man born with no arms and legs).  Along with his co-founder, Mr. Steneker was invited to the White House, to discuss the implementation of online educational programs to retrain vets returning from war with serious injuries.

Applied for, advised on and gained patents in diverse technologies such as data transmission and optimization algorithms, to visualization and quantifying job applicant skills. 

Built and deployed the technology that was used to train over 100,000 workers per year in all 50 US states, supported by a network of 450 regional centers.

When Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, Mr. Steneker rapidly dispatched a team to the area. In the aftermath of the hurricane in difficult conditions this team operated out of trailers using laptops and mobile online technology to retrain over 8,000 people into new jobs in collaboration with the Salvation Army. Tens of thousands of others were provided job skills advice. Under Mr. Steneker’s guidance more workers were retrained and advised in a short span of months than the total number of people assisted by all other organizations during this difficult time.
